I received the Xtava Pro-Satin Infrared Straightener about a week ago and have since then tried it out a couple of times. I can’t say that I’m particularly fond of this product. Don’t get me wrong – for people with thicker hair than mine it may work great. Nothing broke on it – it heats up quickly and the swivel cord (which lets it go in a full circle) are great. It’s just that I felt like I had to clamp down really hard to get any effect. I’m guessing it’s because I have thin hair. Anyways, I’ll be getting another model (hopefully) but wanted to write a word of warning to anyone thinking of buying this who does not have thick hair.
