Introducing the Kipozi 1 Inch Pro Nano-Titanium Flat Iron
Have you heard about the Kipozi Flat Iron?
No? Neither had I!
But a friend recently asked me if I knew anything about them and if I’d recommend them. And, being the flat iron fiend that I am, my curiosity was spiked!
So I did a little research.
In this review, I’ll delve into the pros and cons Kipozi hair straightener and hopefully help you make an informed decision about whether this is the flat iron for you. Enjoy!
A unique new angle?
One of the biggest selling points of the Kipozi is its “ergonomic design“. The plates are angled slightly away from from the handles, which will make them more comfortable to hold for long periods of time.
A great temperature range:
This flat iron has a temperature range from 122 degrees to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. There aren’t many straighteners out there which work at temperatures this low. Working at lower temperatures is much safer if your hair is very fine or damaged.
It can also help you achieve a more natural “tousled” straight look instead of the dead straight style you usually get from flat irons. And you can still go super hot when you want to.
Other heat features of the Kipozi flat iron are its 30-second fast heat-up and the digital LED temperature display, so you’ll always know how much heat you’re putting on your hair!
Wider Plates for Faster Styling:
If you don’t like to spend hours styling your hair then this straightener might be a good option for you. It features one-and-a-half inch plates (instead of the usual one-inch) so you’ll be able to work through the sections much more quickly. That said, wider plates aren’t so good for curling, so if you want styling versatility you might be better to look for a one-inch model.
The Kipozi boasts nano-titanium technology, which is great for fast, smooth styling, and helps to keep frizz and flyaway at bay. At this price, it’s more likely that the plates are titanium-coated than solid titanium, but most reviewers felt that it does what it promises to do.
Peace of mind purchasing:
When you buy this product from Amazon Prime, you have the option of adding a two or three-year protection plan, which will cost you under $10. They also have a 30-day return policy and free shipping. That seems like a pretty good deal to me!
One nice little feature of this flat iron is the dual voltage. So, if you like to jet off to Europe occasionally, you won’t need to pack an adaptor just to style your hair.
If you’re someone who worries about accidentally burning the house down while you’re at work, then this straightener might be a good option. It has a 60-minute auto shut off function.
A tendency to pull?
Some reviewers report that their hair occasionally snags between the plates and the casing. This can usually be prevented by ensuring you have a firm grip on the section you are straightening.
If you have clumsy fingers, this might not be the flat iron for you. The placement of the temperature controls means that it’s quite easy to accidentally change the temp while you’re working on your hair. A sudden blast of 450 degrees when you’re trying to work at 380 could really ruin your day!
A couple of reviewers have reported that this flat iron will break easily if dropped. So, again, it might not be the best option if you’re a little on the clumsy side!
What do the Kipozi Flat Iron reviews say?
Most reviews of this item have been overwhelmingly positive. At the time of writing, there were 180 reviews of this model on Amazon.com and 81% of buyers had given it a full 5-star rating. Just 2% were so disappointed that they gave it a single star and most of these said that the returns policy was effective.
What’s the price ticket and how does it compare?
Considering its quality features and how well it’s been reviewed, the Kipozi flat iron is actually really well priced. It usually retails for around $35, putting it in the same price range as products like HSI, Conair, and Remington. It is easily as good as these models.
My verdict: how does the Kipozi Flat Iron stack up?
I think that this flat iron is definitely one of the best in the $25 to $50 price range. So, if you’re looking for something with a point of difference – like ergonomic design and a wider plate size – this flat iron might be worth giving a try.
The returns policy also means that, if you find it’s not the flat iron for you, you can send it back within 30 days of purchase. A number of reviewers also said that the company was really easy to deal with when there’s a problem. Really, what have you got to lose?
